![]() ![]() Levels can run on for a long time and look very similar. While the visuals are lovely on a technical level, and many of the assets are fantastic, the layouts could be much better. It’s cathartic, chaotic, and absurdly violent in a comically over-the-top way. Sprinting makes you feel like an 18-wheeler with no brakes, pressing F lets you ram through hordes like a linebacker, and your melee lets you auto-zip to close enemies and chainsword them in the face. You can feel the weight of your Space Marine in every movement. The moment-to-moment gameplay in Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun is very satisfying. Giblets rain, blood splatters everywhere, and spinal cords and intestines bounce around as little physics objects after you explode the umpteenth cultist with your bolter. The violence in Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun is comical. The enemy designs and animations are also excellent, with every little sprite having a variety of reactions to damage, and that doesn’t even mention the gore. The environments are huge, with vast caverns, massive ships, and towering gothic spires. In addition, clearing the Stronghold will activate more exclusive Side Quests including Tending Nature, and The Diviner.The aesthetics of Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun are top-notch, and it nails what makes Warhammer 40,000 such an iconic universe. It will also unlock Spirit Boons for the Druid Class, access to a new Dungeon - the Underroot (which is required for a Side Quest, Daughter of the Oak. ![]() The Stronghold features an Altar of Lilith, and once it has been cleared, will unlock a new Waypoint, and several types of Merchants. The completion of this Stronghold is unique in that it is required for the Druid Class to unlock Spirit Boons, and should be attempted as soon as possible. ![]() The angered spirits of the dead are bound to its fire ever since the demon Astaroth laid waste to it, and it will be up to you to put the spirits of the druids to rest and break the curse of the Infernal Tormentor that haunts its great oak. Tur Dulra was once the greatest Druidic College, but now this overgrown ruin stands as a reminder of a great calamity.
